Erika Bray Ortega, O.D.

Dr. Erika Bray Ortega is a Modesto native and has been practicing in Modesto since 2008 after graduating from Pacific University, College of Optometry near Portland, Oregon. She comes from a family with a long history in Modesto. Her family arrived in the area in the 1930’s and has continued to support the Valley in many ways. Her father owns a large construction company in our area and her mother was a teacher at Beyer High School for 25 years, since its opening in 1972.
Dr. Bray is certified to diagnose and treat glaucoma and has significant experience with ocular disease, including macular degeneration, dry eye and cataracts. She has been practicing in Modesto since 2008 and has established relationships with some of the best ophthalmologists in our area for referrals to specialty care when needed. |
Dr. Bray also enjoys fitting multifocal contact lenses and seeing pediatric and special needs patients.

GladysGladys has been an integral member of Vision Works Optometry for over 27 years. She has valuable knowledge and experience in all aspects of Vision First as our Office Manager. Many of our long-time patients consider Gladys to be a member of their own families as she personally ensures a quality experience for each of our patients.
Gladys knows most of our patients by first name, inside and outside of the office. She truly enjoys taking the time to deliver the finest care to our patients and their families. Gladys sees our new name as Vision First Optometry as a positive step to distinguish our office from the large national chain stores. LiliaAs a Vision First (Vision Works) team member for over 19 years, Lilia has seen Vision First grow into one of Modesto's finest optometric practices. Lilia is especially skilled at navigating the various insurances we accept and helping our patients to get the most of their benefits while keeping budget considerations in mind.
